Introduction
IntelliTalk 3 is an innovative and award-winning word processor that enables students to combine graphics, text, and speech to support and enhance writing and communication skills. It includes special features that promote comprehension, reinforce concepts, and provide a multi-sensory writing and learning environment for all learners.
Students can listen to letters, words, and/or sentences as they type. Text can be read back to the student-a word, a sentence, or a page at a time. Graphics can be incorporated into documents, providing support for beginning readers and enhancing learning activities such as quizzes and student reports. A talking spelling check highlights and reads back misspelled words and offers alternatives, recognizing both phonetic and common misspellings. Integrated word prediction features include the use of custom word sets, phonetic spelling, recent word lists, grammar rules, custom dictionary and imported word lists, flexible display options including the ability to insert pictures, and smart punctuation.
Integrates with other IntelliTools' Programs
IntelliTalk 3 integrates with other IntelliTools IntelliTools Classroom Suite products (IntelliMathics 3 and IntelliPics Studio 3) allowing for instant sharing of resources (such as custom toolbars) and making curriculum adaptation easier than ever.
A Fully Accessible Program
IntelliTalk 3 universal design features make the program accessible to all students, including those with physical or cognitive disabilities. It is ideal for inclusion classrooms because students can use the program with a mouse, an IntelliKeys keyboard, or a switch interchangeably. IntelliTalk 3 works seamlessly with IntelliTools' Overlay Maker, Overlay Printer, and/or Overlay Sender .
