| Word Prediction Tab: Use Custom Word Sets
If the Use Custom Word Sets option is selected, suggested words can be drawn from the custom word sets that have been created or imported. A custom word set is a list of words grouped by topic, theme, or context. When one of the words from an active custom word set is typed, Word Prediction recognizes it and automatically suggests other words from that set. For example, a Custom Word Set named "pets" might include the words: dog, cat, bark, meow, fur, tail, etc. If the user entered "dog" and then typed "b," the word "bark" would be given priority as a suggestion over words not included in the custom word set. The advantage of creating and using custom word sets is that you can make words available to a student that would not otherwise be suggested or would not be suggested as quickly. | ||
