Petaluma, California, January 7, 2004 - IntelliTools®, Inc. (www.intellitools.com), for over 20 years the pioneer in learning solutions for preK-8 classrooms, is delighted to announce the availability of a free 45-day Trial version of its newest product, IntelliTools Classroom Suite. Network-ready and both Windows and Mac OS X compatible, IntelliTools Classroom Suite provides preK-8 educators with a fully integrated suite of three popular teaching and learning tools:
- IntelliPics Studio 3-a multimedia presentation tool
- IntelliMathics 3-a virtual math manipulatives tool
- IntelliTalk 3-a talking word processor and writing tool
The free 45-day trial version of the standalone version of Classroom Suite is now available as a download from the IntelliTools Web site or on CD when requested. The trial version is a fully functional version of the IntelliTools Classroom Suite product, enabling the user to sample all provided cross-curricular activities, customize classroom activities with the templates provided, or author their own activities, worksheets, and presentations, as desired.
At the end of the 45-day trial period, the trial version of Classroom Suite converts to a free Player, enabling the user to continue to access and use all existing activities, whether provided with the software or created by the user. However, authoring and editing functions of the activities are no longer accessible. Should the user then purchase Classroom Suite, all authoring and editing functions will be restored, and any activities or presentations the user created during the trial will resume with full functionality.
While using the free trial version, users are welcome to refer to useful Classroom Suite documentation, such as a Getting Started document, an Online Interactive User's Guide, A Quick Reference Guide, and QuickStart Guides for each of the three Classroom Tools, which can all be accessed at the IntelliTools Web site.
About IntelliTools Classroom Suite
IntelliTools Classroom Suite is designed to provide schools and districts with one set of cross-curricular classroom tools that steps up with their students-from kindergarten to middle school. Powerful yet easy-to-use, it delivers curriculum, creativity, and accountability in one extremely flexible program.
"Schools and districts are concerned with the total cost of technology ownership, as well as the increasing number of age-specific software programs that need to be purchased and supported for preK-8 students," noted Ben Cushman, IntelliTools' President. "We worked hard to make Classroom Suite the one single classroom tool investment needed to take students from early elementary to middle school."
- It is multi-functional: providing age-appropriate, cross-curricular classroom activities for students to practice. It offers answer-tracking and student portfolio reporting for teachers to assess student performance. And it provides powerful authoring capabilities for both students and teachers to practice activities and take quizzes, explore mathematical concepts, or create exciting multimedia projects. Users can access its libraries of over 1,500 images, 200 sounds, 100 movie clips and 16 frame animations, and incorporate animated graphics, digital photos, QuickTime videos, and links to the Internet. (The trial version does not contain the full library of images.)
- It is cross-curricular: students can practice the provided age-appropriate and standards-based activities in reading, writing, math, social studies, and science, as well as teacher-created activities aligned to specific curriculum goals. With the authoring tools, students can explore and test math concepts, build critical writing skills, and author their own multimedia storybooks, reports, and presentations.
- It provides accountability: for the first time, teachers can give students customized cross-curricular classroom activities to practice and track student responses. Teachers can record, report, and print student records for student assessment. Program files and student records can be stored on a network server, alleviating the need to collect student data from individual computers.
Special introductory pricing through June 30, 2004 is available for IntelliTools Classroom Suite for a standalone single copy, five pack, lab pack, site license, district license, and network version. Pricing, purchasing, and trade up options can be found at the IntelliTools Web site at www.intellitools.com.
