INTELLITOOLS® INC. ANNOUNCES RELEASE OF INTELLIKEYS USB 2.0 TO RUN ON MAC OS X
Petaluma, California, August 15, 2003 – IntelliTools®, Inc. (www.intellitools.com), for over 20 years the pioneer in learning solutions for preK-8 classrooms, today released an updated version of IntelliKeys USB 2.0, optimized to run on Mac OS X, the newest operating system from Apple. Mac OS X support for IntelliKeys USB 2.0 includes OS 10.1 or higher. IntelliKeys USB users can update their software free of charge from the IntelliTools Web site.
IntelliKeys USB is a programmable alternative keyboard that plugs into any Macintosh or Windows computer, and it consists of 576 membrane keys that can be grouped to form larger, custom keys. Unlike the keyboard normally attached to the computer, the IntelliKeys look and functionality is changeable by sliding in different overlays over the programmable membrane. The IntelliKeys keyboard comes with six standard overlays plus a setup overlay that are ready to use with any word processing program or software that has keyboard input.
IntelliKeys USB can also be used with a growing number of commercial software programs made by IntelliTools and other publishers. Each of these programs comes with their own custom printed overlays that work automatically when you load the software. IntelliKeys enables students with physical, visual, or cognitive disabilities to easily type, enter numbers, navigate onscreen displays, and execute menu commands.
