INTELLITOOLS WELCOME DAYTON JOHNSON
AS NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF SALES

Petaluma, California, March 23, 2004 - IntelliTools®, Inc. (www.intellitools.com), for over 20 years the pioneer in learning solutions for preK-8 classrooms, is pleased to announce that Dayton Johnson has joined the company as National Director of Sales, effective March 15. He will be based in Austin, Texas.

A well-respected education market veteran, Dayton brings to IntelliTools solid experience in both K-12 school systems and educational hardware and software communities. “We are delighted to have Dayton join the company,” noted Ben Cushman, IntelliTools president. “Not only does his background provide the critical mix of classroom and K-12 technology sales experience, but his passion for education and sales philosophy mesh perfectly with IntelliTools’ goals.” 

Dayton began his career as a K-12 learning disabilities teacher, and within a few years stepped up to serve as the Director of Instructional Technology & Media for the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, ultimately supporting 60 school districts with contracted services in technology and special education, and serving two terms as Director of the Wisconsin Instructional Computing Consortium.

Dayton then began consulting for IBM in the research, evaluation, and implementation of its products in K-12 education. Over time he joined IBM, designing, selling, and implementing school technology solutions. Following his success, he joined Scholastic, Inc., and rose from a Regional Director to Vice-President and National Sales Manager, overseeing a field sales force of 150. Since leaving Scholastic in 1999, Dayton has been directing sales and marketing strategies for developing companies, including educational startup companies.

Dayton will oversee IntelliTools field sales and inside sales teams. Based in Austin, Texas, to start, Dayton plans to move within the year to the company’s headquarters in Petaluma, California.
