Alliance
for Technology Access
The Alliance for Technology Access (ATA) helps
to enhance the lives of people with disabilities through technology, by
raising public awareness, implementing initiatives, and providing information
and hands-on exploration at community resource centers.
Assistive
Technology Industry Association (ATIA)
The mission of the ATIA is to serve as the collective voice
of the Assistive Technology industry so that the best products and services
are delivered to people with disabilities. The ATIA represents the interests
of its members to business, government, education, and the many agencies
that serve people with disabilities.
CAST
(Center for Applied Special Technology)
A non-profit organization whose mission is to expand opportunities for
all people -- especially those with disabilities -- through the innovative
uses of computer technology.

for Computer Assistance to the Disabled (C-CAD)
The Center for Computer Assistance to the Disabled (C-CAD) is a unique
non-profit organization whose mission is "enhancing the quality of life
and employment options of persons with disabilities through the use of
modified personal computers, adaptive devices, and custom software". C-CAD
is supported by donations provided by individual and corporate gifts.

The
National Center to Improve Practice (NCIP)
Promotes the effective use of technology to enhance educational outcomes
for students with sensory, cognitive, physical and social/emotional disabilities.
NCIP links a national community of educators--technology coordinators,
staff developers, teachers, specialists, clinicians, administrators, university
faculty, advocates and consumers--who share their knowledge, experience,
and questions about assistive and instructional technologies through its
facilitated discussion forums. NCIP supports this knowledge building process
with additional materials in print and video formats, and an extensive
collection of resources that are available on this web site.
RESNA
Technical Assistance Project
The RESNA Technical Assistance (TA) Project provides information and
consultation to assistive
technology programs in states and territories funded under The Technology-Related
Assistance For
Individuals With Disabilities Act Amendments of 1994 (P.L.103-218). RESNA
Technical Assistance Project activities are aimed at facilitating efforts
of the nationwide
assistive technology programs to reduce barriers to the acquisition of
assistive technology devices
and services by individuals with disabilities.
TECH-NJ
TECH-NJ is an official publication of the School of Education, Department
of Special Education at The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State
College). It is written by students and faculty and is designed to support
professionals, parents, and computer-users in their efforts to use technology
to improve our schools and to enhance the lives of people with disabilities.
In order to facilitate local networking, emphasis is placed on resources
and innovative practices in and around the New Jersey region.
Trace
Research & Development Center - University of Wisconsin
The Trace Center is an interdisciplinary research, development and resource
center on technology and disability. It is part of the Waisman Center
and the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin
- Madison. The mission of the Center is: "To advance the ability of people
with disabilities to achieve their life objectives through the use of
communication, computer and information technologies."
